Download bloodshot tim seeley11/17/2023 ![]() ![]() Just give me more than three issues at a time, god damn it.Ī second book in this series, and once again we're suffering at the hands of authors who just fail to recognise that invincible people, who can survive all threats, are just plain uninteresting. It's nice to see Evans' art again he was everywhere when Valiant relaunched and then seemed to disappear. The story's split fairly between the two of them, and both sides of the story are a punch in the feels. The best issue of the volume is oddly the 'filler' issue by Elliot Rahal and Khari Evans, that focuses on two of the Bloodshots from Jeff Lemire's run as they get a furlough day and spend it making me sad. He never seems to change, which can be a blessing or a curse. ![]() Brett Booth's art remains as good or bad as it was in the first volume, depending on your general opinion of Booth anyway. Again, just when things get interesting, the story's over till Volume 3. The whole idea of rescuing Mina Nez from Black Bar is also solid, but goes about as well as can be expected. I do expect it all to turn out to be a lie, but I'm enjoying them while they last. I do enjoy Bloodshot's new friends The Burned, who add a layer of supporting character that Bloodshot has been sorely lacking. ![]() Since it only collects three issues of the main series, by the time the momentum has been built, the volume's over, which makes it hard to care about everyone. Bloodshot's second outing under Tim Seeley and Brett Booth has the same successes and failures as the first volume. ![]()
